TTC Rubengera was founded by the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda (EPR) in 1970 as a secondary school aiming at providing ordinary level education. Gradually, it opened combinations for Advanced level such as Technical Education, Bio-chemistry and Pedagogy. Since 2009, the school has got the mission for training teachers for Primary Education under the title : Rubengera Teacher Training College (TTC).
