“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (4. Mose 6,24-25)
It is with great joy and warm congratulations that we announce the enthronement of Archbishop Eraste Bigirimana as Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Burundi.
Eraste Bigirimana has been a valued member of the Council since the founding of GPEN. In his role as Speaker of the Council, Eraste embodies the integrity and dignity of a cosmopolitan clergyman. He always keeps in mind the transnational and transcontinental bridges that the Christian faith can build through education. His work helps to ensure that Protestant education can flourish.
This special spiritual office entails a great deal of responsibility. At a time of diverse challenges, including those facing the Church, prudence, spiritual guidance and the ability to build bridges between people are of particular importance. We wish Archbishop Eraste God’s abundant blessings, wisdom and strength for his work and ministry.
May his work help to bring people together, strengthen fellowship and bring the Christian message of hope to bear within the Church and society. At the same time, we wish Archbishop Eraste inspiring encounters and God’s guidance in all the tasks that lie ahead.
We look forward to our continued collaboration and combine our wishes for happiness and blessings with our prayers for a fulfilling and blessed ministry.
